At the beginning of next year, Intel will launch Comet Lake desktop processors, which will switch to the LGA 1200 socket. This generation will be interesting due to the appearance of 10-core models in it.
But such CPUs are far from affordable for everyone, and not everyone needs them either. Today, one of the most budgetary new generation CPUs – Celeron G5900 – has been lit up on the Web.
According to early leaks, this is a dual-core processor without Hyper-Threading support, operating at a frequency of 3.2 GHz. Benchmark 3DMark indicates a higher frequency – 3.4 GHz. And it would be much more interesting because the current Celeron G4900 operates at a frequency of 3.1 GHz.
As for the result, the processor scored 3117 points (Physics Score), which roughly corresponds to the result of the G4900.
