Perhaps at a loss
We have repeatedly talked about lowering the price of Intel processors in one form or another. According to a source, Intel has been reducing prices for its server processors for OEMs for several months. Moreover, the magnitude of such discounts is simply huge.
In particular, the source says a decrease of more than 50% and even more than two-thirds. At the same time, the recommended prices do not change, that is, just going to the Intel website and evaluating the new prices will not work – only the company’s partners will recognize them.
The source suggests that Intel is in despair and is simply selling its server processors at a loss. At the same time, AMD currently occupies only 4.5% of the server CPU market. What Intel will do when AMD has 10% is hard to imagine.
